1875 Carapook School Petition
The August 1875 petition in support of the application for a new school at Carapook was signed by twenty-four residents and a map submitted in support for this new school showed the location of local families and the number of school-aged children in each family. This document provided a snapshot of the composition of a significant section of the Carapook community in 1875. An attempt has been made to identify the family groups associated with the names on the petition or map and are summarised below with links to individual family pages that provide further information.
