Donald CAMERON 1823-1908, b. Perthshire, Scotland, son of John CAMERON and Christine CUMMING was married in 1859 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia to Elizabeth 'Eliza' FLETCHER 1841-1910, b. 1841 Isle of Mull, Scotland daughter of Peter FLETCHER and Margaret GARROW.

The family of Donald CAMERON and Eliza FLETCHER lived on their property "Dunan" on the Wannon River at Henty (originaly part of "Merino Downs" Station), south of Carapook, between Merino and Sandford.

Three of their sons served in the AIF and are recorded on some of the local Honour Rolls, such as the Carapook Honour Roll, the Henty State School Honour Roll, the Muntham Honour Roll, the Merino War Memorial and others.

Donald CAMERON died at "Dunan" Henty, S-W Victoria in 1908, his wife Eliza CAMERON died there in 1910 and both were buried in the Merino Cemetery.
