Casterton Town Hall 75th Anniversary (call for items of interest)
Hi Daryl,
Jan Lier has suggested I contact you with the possibility of putting some information on the website regarding a search for items for an exhibition at Casterton Town Hall foyer in 2012 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the Hall.
I am hoping to source images and objects relating to the hall, particularly images, newspaper cuttings or objects relating to the building of the hall, the laying of the foundation stone, opening ceremony and associated events, and other major events in the hall. And also any objects which reference the hall such as souvenirs, posters, programs, tickets etc. from the early years of the hall.
Any photographs or paper based items would be copied, and originals would not be used in the display.
Jan has indicated there are some items in the C&DHS collection, and I’m hoping that a "call out" via the website might unearth other items in private collections.
Please contact me if you require further information.
Many thanks
Regards
Trevor
