Edward Thomas GIBSON b. 1846, son of Joshua GIBSON and Mary Ann BLANKS. His place of birth appears to be either Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land (marriage certificate), or Essex, England (census & immigration records) caused by what appears to be incorect information in some sources.
Edward Thomas GIBSON was married in 1867 at the Presbyterian Manse, Ararat, Victoria to Sarah Ann McDONALD b. 1847, Ovens River, Victoria, daughter of John McDONALD and Sarah Jane BROWN.
Many of the children in this family attended Digby State School in southwest Victoria from 1884 to 1893.
Edward GIBSON a horsebreaker was burnt to death on "Mullagh" esatate, near Harrow in April 1898.
Edward GIBSON who died near Harrow, Victoria in 1898 and Sarah GIBSON who died at Digby, Victoria in 1942, are both buried in the Digby Cemetery.
