Joseph Henry SYRETT b. 1823 Buckinghamshire, England, son of John SYRETT and Elizabeth CHAPMAN was married in 1858 at Merino, S-W Victoria to Mary Jane BERTRAM b. 1840, Melbourene, Port Phillip District of NSW, daughter of George BERTRAM and Mary Ann ROCHE.

Joseph & Mary Jane SYRETT had a number of children at Digby, Apsley and the Harrow area of S-W Victoria.

Joseph SYRETT died in 1877 at Connewirricoo (nr Harrow), S-W Victoria, Australia and his widow Mary Jane died in 1909 at Daylesford, Victoria.
