Patrick Lynch McGUIRE b. 1856, Longford, Ireland son of Thomas McGUIRE and Bridget LYNCH was married in 1883 at Sandford, S-W Victoria, Australia to Phillippa Mary Tallack NICHOLLS, b. 1865, Sandford, S-W Victoria, daughter of John Thomas NICHOLLS and Elizabeth TALLACK.

Patrick Lynch McGUIRE was a Police-constable at Sandford, S-W Victoria when he married Phillipa Mary Tallack NICHOLLS, a daughter of a local Sandford storekeeper.

Patrick Lynch McGUIRE was a storekeeper & Tea dealer of Carlton, Melbourne when he was accidentally drowned in the Elwood Swamp, Melbourne in 1891. His widow and children returned to her family at Sandford after his death.

In 1898 Phillipa Mary Tallack McGUIRE (nee NICHOLLS), widow, married Michael Stephen McGRATH 1857-1922 at Casterton, S-W Victoria and moved to N-W Western Australia.
